Guacamole



2 medium Hass avocados, peeled, pitted, and smashed
Garlic, minced to taste
½ teaspoon finely chopped serrano chiles

¼ cup chopped tomatoes (optional)

Sweet onion, finely chopped to taste
Salt
4 teaspoons fresh lime juice
2 teaspoons chopped cilantro

 

1.   Coarsely mash avocados, garlic, and serrano chiles with a wooden spoon until the avocados are creamy but still very chunky.

2.   Add the tomato, onion, and salt to taste, and stir together.

3.   Sprinkle with lime juice and cilantro, then stir and taste once more.

     
Add more garlic, serrano chiles, onion, salt, lime juice, or cilantro as desired.
          Makes 2 cups
