Food, Photos, and Reflections!

Here you will find my favorite recipes and a few that look good to me that I want to try.  You will also see some great recipes sent to me by friends. Some are very easy so my son, Jeremiah Hankins, and his friends will occasionally make a home-cooked meal. Others are more complicated for those of us who have more time to cook.  

Because most meals revolve around a meat dish, if you click on poultry, for example, you will see a complete meal put together with links to recipes for what to serve with it. This will be an ongoing project with recipes coming and going. 

A new-found pastime of mine is taking pictures of birds and other wildlife.  So, I am creating an online portfolio of birds (as well as my other photos) to help me keep track of their names, where I spotted them, and perhaps a fact or two about them.   My photos, like my recipes, will come and go as I learn to take better photos.  Because I am still learning all the intricacies of photography, I have also included pages on photography tips for me, and anyone else who is so inclined, to review.
